Hello, and thank you for being here.
My name is Srishti Trehan. I’m a Clinical Psychologist, and my journey into mental health care has been shaped by both professional training and personal experience. I originally come from India and moved to Finland a few years ago. Though I arrived with deep enthusiasm and readiness to begin practicing, I encountered a complex web of qualification processes, cultural adjustments, and language learning that stood between me and my profession. That period of waiting, uncertainty, and identity-searching was difficult—but it also gave me the gift of empathy on a whole new level. I came to understand, from the inside, what it means to feel displaced, to start over, and to long for belonging.
That personal insight now informs how I work with clients, particularly those navigating international moves, acculturation, identity shifts, relationship stress, and emotional overwhelm. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, past trauma, grief, parenting difficulties, or simply feeling lost in transition, I’m here to hold a safe and supportive space for you. I offer therapy in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, always with cultural humility and a deep respect for your unique context.

I’ve been trained in India under one of the most rigorous mental health education systems. I hold a Bachelor's, a Master's, a Professional Diploma, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Over the course of my training and practice, I’ve worked in clinical, hospital, and psychiatric ward settings. These environments gave me hands-on experience in dealing with a wide range of psychological issues across age groups.
I use an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, and families, and my areas of interest include emotion regulation, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, and interpersonal conflicts.
My academic research focused on the effects of mindfulness on adolescent well-being, and I also developed and implemented a mindfulness-based intervention module during my Ph.D. I truly value evidence-based practice and continuous learning, and I aim to bring both structure and empathy into every session I hold.

At present, I offer online therapy sessions, which allows flexibility and comfort for clients to access care from wherever they are in Finland. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.
In the near future, I aim to expand into in-person consultations in Helsinki and Espoo, particularly with international families and adolescents. My therapeutic environment, whether virtual or physical, is always designed to be warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental.
I also collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and refer clients to appropriate medical, psychiatric, or social support systems when needed. I work closely with clients who are simultaneously undergoing medical treatments or navigating long-term recovery, supporting their emotional resilience, coping strategies, and overall psychological well-being.
